Vortex Cannon
The HydrOBlastr Vortex Cannon is a moderately powerful prototype model that utilizes a Patent Pending air entrapment technology to create traveling underwater vortex rings with air cores. The Vortex Cannon is pumped ten to fifteen times to load it with compressed air, then lowered underwater to fill its nozzle with water, then aimed toward a target. Pressing the trigger releases a vortex ring that can travel up to thirty-five feet underwater at three to five feet per second initial velocity. The Vortex Cannon is about thirty times more powerful than the Vortex Pistol and has the same integrated safety features that limit the pressure when the nozzle is blocked and prevent objects from being inserted into the barrel of the toy. The air entrapment technology and safety features are completely scalable so that ring shooters of various sizes and powers can be created to fulfill the demands of all age groups.
